Volleyball Recap: Lathrop Takes a Loss

Lathrop lost against Livingston on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lathrop fell just short of Livingston by a score of 2-1. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gabriel Faalii paced Lathrop's offense, picking up 11 kills. Faalii got some help from Mario Luna and his 17 assists. Finally, Meauta Miller kept Lathrop's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Lathrop's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Livingston, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season.

Lathrop has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Archbishop Riordan on the 29th. As for Livingston, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Mountain House on the 29th.
