Softball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Valley Falls

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Troy, Valley Falls was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Jefferson County North Chargers with a sharp 15-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Valley Falls got a massive performance out of Skylar Neiberger, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Cox, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Valley Falls hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.

Valley Falls pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average this season. As for Jefferson County North, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Valley Falls beat the Chargers by a score of 15-13 later that day.
