Baseball Recap: Mineral Springs Comes Up Short

Mineral Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Mount Ida Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 6-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Mineral Springs now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Mount Ida, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.

Mineral Springs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-0 win against Blevins on the 10th. As for Mount Ida, they have also already played their next matchup, a 26-21 defeat against Danville on the 10th.
