Recap: South Harrison Hawks vs. Wirt County Tigers
The South Harrison Hawks won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-35 loss at the hands of Wirt County. South Harrison lost against Wirt County in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 46-44 score last time.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adalee Wright, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Emily Parks was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
South Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Wirt County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.
South Harrison will head out on the road to take on Tygarts Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wirt County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
