New Hampton has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.2  runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit  on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Waukon Indians  13-11. That's two games straight that the Chickasaws have won by  exactly two  runs.
The  victory made it two in a row for New Hampton and  bumps their season record up to 23-7. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Waukon, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record  this season.
