Flag Football Recap: California Extends Home Winning Streak to Six + How To Watch

California won the last time they faced Livermore and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Grizzlies came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 25-12. The Grizzlies pushed the score to 25-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cowboys cut but never quite recovered from.

California can attribute much of their success to Caeli AuYeung, who threw for 194 yards and three TDs, and also punched in one rushing score. What's more, AuYeung racked up 117 passer rating, the most she's had since back in November of 2024.

California's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In that department, Lana Vu was the leader with two sacks.

California's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for Livermore, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. California will take on rival Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Grizzlies 6.7, the Lions 5.1) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Livermore is set to face off against their familiar foe Dougherty Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
