Decatur had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Mardela on Thursday. The Seahawks put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 13-1 win. The Seahawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by eight runs or more this season.

Decatur pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Mardela, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-4 record.
