Softball Recap: Venice's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Venice got themselves on the board against Westchester on Thursday, but Westchester never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp 22-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Gondoliers, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win was the third in a row for Venice, bringing their record up to 14-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Westchester, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Looking ahead, Venice will face off against Eagle Rock at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Westchester, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hamilton at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
