Basketball Recap: Medicine Valley Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Haylie Gustafson and Remmi Stout

Medicine Valley was the 58-38 winner over Wallace when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Medicine Valley Raiders took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wallace Wildcats. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Medicine Valley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Remmi Stout, who posted 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals, and Haylie Gustafson, who put up six points along with ten boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Gustafson a new career-high in boards.

Medicine Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Wallace, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Medicine Valley will take on Arapahoe at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wallace, they will venture away from home to take on Arthur County at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Arthur County's defense has only allowed 25.7 points per game this season, so Wallace's offense will have their work cut out for them.
