Unaka had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 37-point drubbing they dealt Washburn on Saturday. The Unaka Rangers claimed a resounding 80-43 victory over the Washburn Pirates. The win continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won seven in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Washburn lost, don't look at Matthew Harville. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-12 to rack up 17 points and six rebounds. The matchup was Harville's third in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Clay, who posted eight points.

Unaka's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Washburn, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.

Unaka will face off against Cosby on Tuesday. Unaka knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Cosby likes a good challenge. Washburn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
