Basketball Game Preview: Ada-Borup Cougars vs. Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal Titans

Ada-Borup is 9-1 against Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Ada-Borup Cougars will host the Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal Titans at 7:30 p.m. Ada-Borup is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.4 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Ada-Borup beat Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal 79-68. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Titans are ranked 177th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ada-Borup's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anders Tinjum led the charge by putting up 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. The dominant performance gave Tinjum a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Austin McCraven, who went 9 for 17 en route to 20 points and seven boards.

Ada-Borup has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
