Basketball Recap: Chief Sealth Takes a Loss

Chief Sealth lost against Bishop Blanchet back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The match between the Chief Sealth Seahawks and the Bishop Blanchet Bears didn't end well, with the Chief Sealth Seahawks falling 47-33. While losing is never fun, the Seahawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Bears are ranked 51st).

Bishop Blanchet was led to victory by Brooke Campbell and Stella Na. Campbell went 7 for 14 on her way to 15 points along with seven boards and four steals, while Na posted nine points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. Na is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last five games she's played. Francesca Marona was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

Chief Sealth now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Bishop Blanchet, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

Chief Sealth has already played their next game (against Seattle Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bishop Blanchet has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Rainier Beach.
