Basketball Recap: Carver Tigers vs. Crisp County Cougars

The Carver Tigers stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 70-18 win over Crisp County. Winning may never get old, but Carver sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Kayden Cooper was nothing short of spectacular: she scored 17 points along with six steals. It was the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jazmin Thornton, who scored 15 points along with three steals and two blocks.

Carver's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.4 points per game. As for Crisp County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

Carver won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Thomasville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Tigers are ranked 45th). As for Crisp County, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Peach County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
