Soccer Game Preview: Chaparral vs. Rocky Mountain

The Chaparral Wolverines will challenge the Rocky Mountain Lobos at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chaparral's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Chaparral didn't have quite enough to beat Heritage and fell 3-2. Chaparral haven't had much luck with Heritage recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Isabelle Schroder and Emerson Sprinkle scored both of Chaparral's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain kept a clean sheet against Monarch on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Coyotes.

Rocky Mountain's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3-1. As for Chaparral, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1.

Chaparral took their win against Rocky Mountain in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1 score. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Lobos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
