Softball Recap: Ball Takes a Loss

Ball lost against Episcopal back in February of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Ball lost 13-3 to Episcopal. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ball saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Selina Scott, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs. Those two runs gave Scott a new career-high.

Ball's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Episcopal, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Coming up, Ball will venture away from home to square off against Friendswood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Friendswood's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so Ball's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Episcopal, they will welcome Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
