Soccer Recap: Scotch Plains-Fanwood Takes a Loss

Scotch Plains-Fanwood fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Montclair on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mounties by a score of 3-2. Scotch Plains-Fanwood have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2-2. As for Montclair, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3-1.

Coming up, Scotch Plains-Fanwood will venture away from home to square off against Montville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montclair, they will welcome Randolph at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Randolph's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
