Softball Recap: Brookville Comes Up Short

Brookville's last matchup with Brockway could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Raiders lost 16-4 to the Rovers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rovers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-7 two weeks ago.

Brookville has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Brockway, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brookville will welcome Elk County Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Brockway, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Redbank Valley at 4:00 p.m.
