Baseball Recap: Half Hollow Hills East Comes Up Short

Half Hollow Hills East extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-6 in the process. They came up short against the North Babylon Bulldogs, falling 13-5. The RedHawks were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

As for North Babylon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5. Considering they have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For North Babylon's part, Jake Walsh was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Walsh a new career-high. Ryan Camier also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

While Half Hollow Hills East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
