Softball Recap: Julian Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Julian finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They lost 14-1 to the Kearny Komets. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Julian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Bennett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. Bennett has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Julian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Kearny, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Coming up, Julian will head out to challenge Lincoln at 3:30 p.m. on March 27th. As for Kearny, they will face off against Sweetwater at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kearny will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
