Fairview has gone 9-1 against Prairie View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Knights will square off against the Thunderhawks at 8:00 p.m. Prairie View took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Fairview, who comes in off a win.

Fairview is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Ponderosa: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Knights blew the Mustangs out of the water with a 78-46 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Knights had established a 25-point advantage.

Gus Van Matre had a dynamite game, shooting 86% from beyond the arc en route to 32 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two). Trevor Ochs was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards.

Fairview was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ponderosa only racked up nine.

Meanwhile, Prairie View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 70-53 bruising from Mullen. On the bright side, the 53- point effort marked the Thunderhawks' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Fairview will have to contain Daniel Dunn as he made an impact in Prairie View's last game. He went 10-for-20 on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. Sebastian Garcia-Diaz also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Fairview has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 67.5 points this season. As for Prairie View, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Fairview didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Prairie View in their previous matchup last Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 57-52 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
