Soccer Game Preview: East Central vs. Franklin Central

East Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let New Palestine get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The win continues a trend for East Central in their matchups with New Palestine: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Franklin Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Perry Meridian on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Nyla McCarthy and Rhyley Rogers scored both of the Flashes' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 30 goals.

East Central's win bumped their record up to 14-3-1. As for Franklin Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8-3.

East Central took their win against Franklin Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
