Softball Recap: Bloomsburg Panthers vs. Central Columbia Bluejays
Bloomsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They lost 17-7 to the Central Columbia Bluejays. Bloomsburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central Columbia apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Madeline Devine was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Kara Bodganowicz, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Bloomsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Central Columbia, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11.
Bloomsburg will take on Southern Columbia Area at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Columbia, they will head out on the road to square off against Hughesville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
