Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Triumphs

The Lafayette Generals earned a 2-0 win over the Boyd County Lions on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Generals.

Lafayette never let Boyd County on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21.

Lexi Hensley paced Lafayette's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hensley got some help from Elise Trimble and her 28 assists.

Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Boyd County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Lafayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Nelson County on the 11th. As for Boyd County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Highlands on the 11th.
