Minor has gone 9-1 against Parker recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Tigers will challenge the Thundering Herd at 12:00 p.m.
On Thursday, Minor came up short against Shades Valley and fell 6-1.
Minor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniyah Westbrook, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Parker, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on Carver Montgomery with a sharp 11-2 victory on Saturday. The Thundering Herd might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.
Parker let Leah Ray and Marley Allen run wild. Ray got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Allen went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits Allen has posted since back in March. Kamila Dabney was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Parker always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .708. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .565 or higher in six consecutive games.
Minor's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Parker, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Minor hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .411. However, it's not like Parker struggles in that department as they've averaged .386. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Minor took their victory against Parker in their previous matchup last Thursday by a conclusive 27-19 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thundering Herd turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
