Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gorham walked away with it. They came out on top against the Cheverus Stags by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won four matches in a row.

Their offense was headlined by Taylor Tenuta and Lauren Dunbar, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Liana Edwards and her 25 assists. Ava Devinney controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Gorham's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Cheverus, they moved to 13-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Coming up, Gorham will challenge Thornton Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cheverus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
