Meanwhile, Phillips Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to Poly Prep Country Day.

Phillips Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew DeBenedictis, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Dexter Southfield moved to 8-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Phillips Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Dexter Southfield has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Phillips Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Dexter Southfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Phillips Academy in their previous matchup on April 9th, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dexter Southfield since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
