Softball Recap: Five Straight Road Wins for Paxton

Paxton's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Ponce De Leon Pirates 5-3. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Paxton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenzie Lassiter, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Lassiter snagged this season.

Paxton's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games.
