Basketball Recap: Dansville Comes Up Short

Dansville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They fell 37-29 to the Webberville Spartans. The Aggies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Webberville found their leader in freshman Jennavieve Lycos, who shot 70% from the field on her way to 18 points in addition to six steals and five boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lycos has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jolie Bryan, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Dansville's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Webberville, they moved to 10-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Dansville has already played their next contest, a 61-11 defeat against St. Patrick on the 21st. As for Webberville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 44-33 loss against Fulton on the 21st.
