Conrad came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Fairfield/Augusta, but Brock Peace wouldn't allow it. Fairfield/Augusta put the hurt on Conrad with a sharp 21-0 win on Thursday for which the team can thank Peace, who threw for 269 yards and three TDs. He is becoming a predictor of Fairfield/Augusta's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).

Fairfield/Augusta didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brodie Carper and Travis Cartwright. Another thorn in Conrad's side was Derek Pearson, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The victory got Fairfield/Augusta back to even at 4-4. As for Conrad, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Fairfield/Augusta will challenge Lincoln County at 1:00 p.m. on November 1. The Lions' defense has only allowed 12 points per game this season, so Fairfield/Augusta's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Conrad, they will take on Florence-Carlton at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cowboys surely won't give up without a fight.
