Wakeland came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Martin Warriors by a score of 10-6.

Jordan Mcnees looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lauren McIllwain, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she's launched this season. Another player making a difference was Ella Faris, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Wakeland's record is now 7-1. As for Martin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
