Volleyball Recap: Elba Comes Up Short

Elba extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 11-10. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palmer Tigers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jarahlynn Morrow paced Elba's offense, picking up nine kills. Morrow got some help from Lacey Barg and her 19 assists. Morrow was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

As for Palmer, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-14. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Palmer was led to victory by Rose Mamot and Peyton Earl. Mamot had 11 digs, while Earl had nine digs. Mamot is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Coincidentally, Elba and Palmer will both be playing Grand Island Lutheran the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Lightning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bluejays will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
