The Mission Oak Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight defeat. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to Tulare Union. Mission Oak has not had much luck with the The Tribe recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Mission Oak still got an impressive performance from Malakai Rodriguez, who scored 22 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Gonzalez, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Mission Oak has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season. As for Tulare Union, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission Oak will square off against the Bullpups at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hanford and the Hawks are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for Tulare Union, they will head out on the road to face off against the Emperors at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Dinuba has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 503 points over their last eight contests.
