The IC Catholic Prep Knights will square off against the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. IC Catholic Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when IC Catholic Prep and Aurora Central Catholic meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Knights came up short against the Chargers, falling 12-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered against the Chargers since April 27, 2022.

Lexi Russ made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Meanwhile, Saint Ignatius College Prep came up short against St. Francis on Monday and fell 4-1. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Saint Ignatius College Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoe Smith, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

IC Catholic Prep's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.

IC Catholic Prep's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. The Knights have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Saint Ignatius College Prep, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will IC Catholic Prep continue to outrun the ball?

IC Catholic Prep skirted past Saint Ignatius College Prep 11-9 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolfpack turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
