Basketball Recap: Fairview Takes a Loss

After flying high against General McLane last Friday, Fairview came back down to earth. The Fairview Tigers fell just short of the Girard Yellowjackets by a score of 45-43 on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Girard, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5.

Fairview and Girard should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Fairview (ranked 159th) will meet Harbor Creek (ranked 325th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Girard will face off against General McLane at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 327 places (116 vs. 443).
