Softball Game Preview: Lincoln Tigers vs. Marshall Barristers

Lincoln hasn't had much luck against Marshall recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Barristers at 3:00 p.m. Lincoln has given up an average of 6.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lincoln is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Bravo on Friday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 14-0.

Lincoln saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gladys Barajas, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Barajas has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, Marshall suffered their closest loss since March 11, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Eagle Rock by a score of 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Barristers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Marshall now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Lincoln, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
