Recap: Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride vs. Bennington Badgers
The Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Bennington 77-74. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Bennington lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gavin Olson, who scored 13 points along with six steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Hudson Neuverth, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Roncalli Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Bennington, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
