There's no place like home for Male, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Central Hardin Bruins 2-1. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Bulldogs have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Hannah Wright spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

Male has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season. As for Central Hardin, they moved to 18-12 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Male will head out on the road to square off against Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central Hardin, they will take on Oldham County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colonels have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
