Recap: Palmerton Blue Bombers vs. North Schuylkill Spartans
The Palmerton Blue Bombers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 32-24 victory over North Schuylkill. That's another feather in the cap for Palmerton, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Palmerton had a senior duo take command as Ty Sander gained 156 total yards and two touchdowns and Matthew Machalik rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Machalik is absolutely dominating the rushing touchdown category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
Palmerton pushed their record up to 12-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for North Schuylkill, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Palmerton will face off against Northwestern Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwestern Lehigh knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Palmerton likes a good challenge. North Schuylkill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
