Recap: Bethel Bees vs. Miami East Vikings
The Bethel Bees's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Miami East at home and fell 56-13. Bethel was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-7.
It was another big night for Maryn Gross, who scored 16 points along with nine steals for Miami East. Gross is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Logan Phillips was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Bethel has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Miami East, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Bethel will head out on the road to face off against Troy Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Miami East, they will be playing at home against Covington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Covington is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
