Preview: Loretto Mustangs vs. Marion County Red Raiders
Having just played yesterday, the Loretto Mustangs will jump right back in to play the Marion County Red Raiders at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Loretto will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
Loretto has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 57-23 victory over Lexington on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-12.
It was another big night for Ally Weathers, who scored 25 points. The match was her 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Weathers, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Marion County had to suffer through a rough 72-22 loss at the hands of Lauderdale County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Marion County has scored all season.
Loretto's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Marion County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
