Winthrop had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against the Mount Abram Roadrunners by a score of 46-38. That's more bragging rights for the Ramblers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Winthrop's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-3. As for Mount Abram, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winthrop will venture away from home to take on Waynflete at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mount Abram, they will head out to face off against Monmouth Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
