The Cisco Loboes will head out on the road to square off against the Bangs Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Cisco didn't have quite enough to beat Winters and fell 4-3.
Pecos Duke made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Ty Rainey also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Bangs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past the Panthers 21-8. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.
Connor Bible was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Skylar Minshew was a standout: he got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Hunter Crowell, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Bangs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Bangs pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Cisco, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-2.
Cisco suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Bangs in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can the Loboes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
