Basketball Game Preview: Whippany Park Wildcats vs. Glen Ridge Ridgers

The Whippany Park Wildcats will square off against the Glen Ridge Ridgers on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Whippany Park came up short against Randolph and fell 74-66. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glen Ridge). They came out on top against Montclair Kimberley Academy by a score of 64-55 on Wednesday. The Ridgers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Glen Ridge's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Whippany Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Whippany Park strolled past Glen Ridge in their previous matchup back in January of 2015 by a score of 54-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Whippany Park since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
