Softball Recap: Willcox Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

19 must be Willcox's lucky number: they beat Winslow with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Cowboys put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 19-4 victory. The Cowboys' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Hattie Macumber made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Willcox was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 12 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
