Basketball Recap: Ridgefield Comes Up Short

Ridgefield lost against R.A. Long back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Ridgefield Spudders lost 61-41 to the R.A. Long Lumberjacks. The Spudders were down 49-29 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Ridgefield's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for R.A. Long, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgefield has already played their next contest (against Hudson's Bay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. R.A. Long will challenge Mark Morris at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mark Morris knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully R.A. Long likes a good challenge.
