Basketball Recap: Hico Comes Up Short

Hico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Graford Rabbits, falling 76-24. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1396th, while the Rabbits are ranked 495th).

Hico's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Graford, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers duke it out with the Bearcats at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Graford, they will face off against Hamilton at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Graford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Hamilton likes a good challenge.
