Basketball Recap: Airline Takes a Loss

Airline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 73-40 loss at the hands of the Parkway Panthers. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-13.

Dakota Howard continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Parkway, putting up 28 points. The game was Howard's seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Khia Thomas, who posted 14 points.

Airline's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Parkway, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 23-4.

Airline and Parkway should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Airline will take on Calvary Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 85 places (47 vs. 132). Similarly, Parkway (ranked first) will meet Benton (ranked 69th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
