Preview: Corner Canyon Chargers vs. Bingham Miners
Corner Canyon has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Bingham Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Corner Canyon is ranked 18th, while Bingham is ranked ninth).
Last Tuesday, Corner Canyon came up short against Mountain Ridge and fell 59-51.
Meanwhile, Bingham entered their tilt with Herriman with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Bingham walked away with a 49-42 win over Herriman on Tuesday.
Bingham's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brianna Badonie, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Addy Horsley, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Corner Canyon's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Bingham, their win bumped their record up to an identical 11-6.
Corner Canyon didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bingham in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 63-59 win. Will Corner Canyon repeat their success, or does Bingham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
