Baseball Recap: Schuyler County Beats Princeton for Their Third Straight Win

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Schuyler County nor Princeton made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since April 21st.

Bryson Wilson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elliot Sevits, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

The victory (which was Schuyler County's third in a row) raised their record to 14-11. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Princeton, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-13.

Coming up, Schuyler County will face off against Brashear at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Princeton, they will square off against Brookfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
