Last Tuesday, Shaker was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-54 to Albany. Even though they lost, Shaker's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.4 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Despite the defeat, Shaker saw an underclassman step up: Peyton Hoblock dropped a double-double on 18 points and 17 rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Sierra Carter, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Troy had to suffer through a rough 75-22 loss at the hands of Shenendehowa. Troy has not had much luck with Shenendehowa recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Everything went Shaker's way against Troy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Shaker made off with a 52-32 victory. Will Shaker repeat their success, or does Troy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
